Today, letās talk about something that's near and dear to my heart: the art of delegation. I recently came across a tweet that resonated deeply with me, and it struck a serious cord with our community on IG.
For me, delegation isnāt just a buzzword; it's a lifeline. Juggling the demands of growing a business and life, we all know the struggle. Based on the convo I just wanted to jump on here and share my take on just why delegation āØmattersāØ when youāre building a brand today.
1. Focus on Growth Areas The obvious one, is that by delegating routine tasks you can free up your time to focus on strategic areas that drive growth. This is essential for scaling your business. When youāre not bogged down by day-to-day operations, you can operate in your zone of genius.
2. Balance Work and Life Our time is so precious. Delegation has allowed me to maintain a healthier work-life balance, made me far more present, and got me working smarter, not harder - bc weāre in it for the long game(!!).
3. Empower Your Team Delegating tasks empowers your team and builds trust. It gives them a sense of ownership and the opportunity to develop their skills. When your team grows, so does your business.
And if youāre a solo founder with no budget to outsource to a VA, something that has ben insanely useful to me is ChatGPT 4. I use this tool a million times a day and itās basically become an assistant at this point!
3 Steps to Powerful Collabs š¤
IDK if itās just me but Iām seeing cool collabs pop up everywhere recently. From a starburst bath-bomb to that Liquid Death x e.l.f. Cosmetics collab that got everyone talking, we are truly in the age of ātogether everyone achieves moreā. Heck, even Instagram is fully on board with their (pretty epic) collab feature. Letās dive straight into how you can hop on the trend:
1. Ask yourself: what do you want? š¤ First things first, what do you actually want? Whether itās expanding reach, driving sales, or getting more eyeballs on your brand, itās crucial to set clear goals and KPIs. This might look a little like:
Increasing reach š Aim for more visibility? Consider collabāing your posts or running a giveaway to attract new followers.
Looking for more sales šø Want to boost sales? Think about bundling offers with a brand youāve always wanted to work with.
Expanding your yard šŗļø Looking to enter new markets? Collaborate with brands that have a strong presence in those areas.
Driving emotion š tricked you - always remember that your ultimate goal is to drive emotion; you want to make people feel something.
2. Now the fun bit: who do you want? š¤ Next up, scout for brands that are on the same level as you. Look for those with a similar audience size and a like-minded community. You want to hit that sweet spot of partnering up with a brand thatās a similar stage to you, whilst still offering something new & fresh.
Practical tip: start drafting up a list of everyone you come across that you can imagine working with (dream scenario or not).
3. Action š¬ Finally, get creative! Think about how you can drive excitement and remember that your ultimate goal is to drive emotion; you want to make people feel something. Ask yourself: Am I investing money or just my time and resources? Balance what you can give with what you hope to gain.
