Holy moly we’re just under one week away from launching Your Hype Girl and I’m all sorts of crazy excited-butterflies in my tummy-might throw up feelings. This moment has been more than a year in the making and is worth some celebrations.

1. Ain’t no mountain high enough ⛰️
EP283: We’re learning from fashion veteran Elyce Arons. She spent more than a decade building Kate Spade before doing it all again with Frances Valentine.
Building a fashion empire a second time around has made one thing very clear to Elyce: this space has gotten more difficult. However, it’s totally still doable.
“If you have a really great product that you believe in, and you have other people who believe in you, you can actually get it done.”
She shared a couple of golden pointers for making it through that uphill climb:
Stay on your own trajectory 🏇You’ll get advice from all these other people, but you’ve created the product and you know what is best for your brand.
Stick to your guns 🔫Really do what you set out to do, it’s a matter of perseverance.
Nothing is insurmountable ⛰️We all started somewhere, every single designer or fashion person that’s out there started where you are, are still made it.
2. Everyone is faking it 🤡
EP285: We’re getting super inspired by Madeleine Voge, Co-Founder behind America’s fastest-growing (and cutest) sparkling water brand Aura Bora.
The best advice Madeleine has ever received is to realize that we’re all faking it.
It’s easy when you’re starting out to feel like everyone is legitimate and you’re not. Everyone is doing this the right way and you’re not.
“I can feel, to this day, that we’re still not legit.”
It can be very helpful to tell yourself, you’re real. This is very much a legitimate business. This is just how it is. Say bye-bye to that imposter feeling.
👉 It's okay to feel like you aren't in total control - you aren't 👉 It's okay to feel like you know exactly what direction to go in - you don'tFrom the big-time CEOs to the small biz with two employees, if you are faking it, it probably means you're doing it right. So give yourself a break, and keep going.
FSC Mini-Series from the Founder ❤️

This co-female-founded biz helps founders relocate to the US on the 01 Visa. I was so impressed to learn how they help people like me. Visas and immigration can be a huge pain in the butt, so if you’re dreaming of the US. Check them out.
2. Gloria Chou PR ⭐
Gloria is a PR expert specifically for small biz owners. She has an epic course teaching founders how to do their own PR. I have access, and it’s truly magic. Especially the media lists she curates. She’s coming into the Hype Club in the next weeks to give a workshop on all things PR, and I can. not. wait.
3. Get Carro 🤳
THE tool to help build relationships with influencers through your social media following. Help you reach out easily, cross-sell products, and get all the customer info you need, all through your Shopify and social accounts.
4. Cogsy 📈
This is a cracker for product-based founders. They remove spreadsheets and stop any guesswork for future purchase orders by taking your data from your Shopify site and turning it into accurate forecasts for your biz.
5. Norby 🔗
This female-founded tech company makes ridiculously easy marketing tools for entrepreneurs of all kinds. I use them for my link in bio, and they also have epic features for event RSVPs and SMS. And, it’s all design forward. Super cute.

Biz Wins & Failz 🎢
Straight from Hype Club.
We’ve got an ongoing Biz Wins & Fails chat going in HC. This is where we can learn what we can hopefully avoid in our own journeys, and what keeps us feeling like we are not in this alone. A lot of us are seeing a lot of highlights, but tbh there are also so many downs and things that go wrong.
Megan O’Brien (Founder of MatchMega) shared her low with us this week:
“I was ordering a whole bunch of product from competitors in white fabrics to see how see-through their qualities were. But for one specific brand when I went to return them found out $700 worth of product was “final sale” even though it wasn’t indicated anywhere on the product page, checkout, or return policy, and their customer service isn’t budging. Hurts all over because much of it isn’t even my size.”
Ouch. Super frustrating. Luckily Kim chimed in with a tip, that it can at least be categorized as a biz expense at tax time. Silver lining! 😌
