Magic LOADING... β¨
**at the risk of sounding like a boomer** - I don't know about you, but I feel we've reached a point where this online world (the internet π) is causing more confusion than solutions. Last week I scoured Google for a simple outreach template and was met with every complicated 15-step how-to and intricate outreach theory you can imagine. I ended up writing my own. At what point does information overload become just that, an overload? I can't pinpoint it exactly, but I am pretty sure that we've surpassed it. This is just a tiny part of the reason I've been working on something really damn exciting for the future of Female Startup Club.
But first... This newsletter is brought to you by Upscribe π
If youβre a CPG biz owner, youβve probably thought about whether your product suits being subscription-based. There's a good reason it's all the talk at the mo. With 92% of young Americans actively using at least one subscription service & the subscriber economy growing 6X the rate of traditional businesses, you'd almost be silly not to. That's why we've linked with Upscribe, the pro's in the field. To get started they're giving you $300 off when you sign up with us π° and when you book in a demo.

π Insights From This Weekβs Episodes on the Female Startup Club Podcast
Directly from the women building the worldβs most exciting businesses in the e-commerce and CPG space.
1. Crowdlaunch with a crowdfund π
EP408: How to go from $50K of savings to becoming a 7-figure tech founder, with Small Packages founder Julie Schechter.
CPG and crowdfunding go together like peanut butter and jelly. When you have a product-based business, running a crowdfunding campaign as a launch campaign will give you much more than you might have bargained for. In the best way possible. By rewarding contributors with your products, you're given the chance to test and see what people are interested in. Fab!
That's exactly what Julie did in crowdfunding through IFundWomen. People contributing would receive a particular product or prize depending on which price level they pledge ($$$) & these people would also serve as the first customers and users of the product.
Want to know more about crowdfunding? IFundWomen's very own Kalish Nesbitt joined us in the Hype Club last week to host a workshop on Crowdfunding 101 - it's available for all members in the HC Portal β¨
2. Be shameless to succeed π¦
EP410: Chatting with Aasiyah Abdulsalam about founding her company The Renatural and inventing her first product, The Wig Fix.
Diving into the world of business and entrepreneurship has taught this first-time founder one very important lesson: you have to be shameless in order to succeed. Shamelessly ask, shamelessly promote, and shamelessly challenge the status quo.
"There's no such thing as a dumb question. You have to be shameless in order to grow."
If you've ever been made to feel like you're asking a stupid question, you're probably asking the wrong person. The right partners, business or not, will make space for the seemingly silly questions to be answered with consideration and patience. Because there is no such thing as a silly question. Every question is valid, girl.
Biz Wins & Failz π’
Straight from Hype Club.
Weβve got an ongoing Biz Wins & Fails chat going in HC. This is where we can learn what we can hopefully avoid in our own journeys, and what keeps us feeling like we are not alone in celebrating those highs.
This week, one of our members shared her third-party logistics company (or 3PL for short π) drama:
"I just logged into our shipping software so I could take note of a specific order and have our 3PL send an extra gift to a friend. I realized that the orders weren't showing up because the connection between the software and our website had somehow broken. I re-established the connection and orders as far back as 28 days ago appeared, so the connection had literally been broken for 30 days and the 3PL didn't even notice!"
Eesh, that hurts. We're seeing SO many 3PL problems at the mo... Are you going through something similar? Hit reply if so... βοΈ
*The doors to Hype Club are open, nowβs the time to join our community of uplifting entrepreneurs building the future CPG companies! It doesn't need to be lonely.
