Hot new brand launches & early blueprints ❤️🔥
This month we have three(!) incredible new female-founded brands into the spotlight—each with its own unique touch:
Somi by Jess Bruton: a genius travel beauty kit designed with care
Ayoh by Molly Baz: the mayo brand here to make mayo lovers swoon
Eve by Boz by Bozoma Saint John: wig and haircare brand
These launches reminded me of the idea of this blueprint that every founder follows at the start of their journey. Whether you're creating travel beauty must-haves, elevating something as simple as mayo, or rethinking haircare, those first steps look surprisingly similar: focus, pivoting, and finding your people.
When Hannah Diop, founder of Sienna Naturals, shared her journey with us earlier this year, she nailed exactly what it takes to go from idea to traction. For her, it always starts with a clear mission—a guiding star—a problem you’re solving. Buttttt, as every founder knows, success is never really just a straight line.
Hannah credits her growth to staying open to pivots and focusing on connecting with her ideal audience. As she says, “Traction comes when you find your people.” That’s the signal to keep going: when your product solves a problem for more than just you.
She also reflected on the importance of nurturing those early adopters: “I wish I’d leaned into my DTC audience sooner—your first 100 loyal fans are gold.” Focusing on their needs, rather than chasing external validation, can save you time, energy, and sooo many resources.
So, whether you're dreaming of launching your own travel essentials, the next big condiment craze, or a million-dollar haircare line, here’s the takeaway: start small, pivot intentionally, prove of concept, nurture your people, and grow from there.
Most people suck at ChatGPT—here’s how I use it 💫
ChatGPT changed my (business) life. I use it daily for emails, excel formulas, idea gen and planning—especially for tasks outside my zone of genius.
So for eg: if was launching a new product and needed a high-converting landing page, here’s how I’d start:
#1 prompt: “Help me create a landing page for our lead generation campaign.” [*Add specific goals, context, any existing data you have on current conversion rate etc*].
#2 prompt: Once I get the first response, follow up with something like: “Now that you know the goal and gist, ask me the questions needed to create a detailed plan.”
(Pro tip: I voice note these so I can ramble and give as much info as possible!)
#3 prompt: After answering these I double down by querying back and forth until I hit the jackpot.
The real key is to iterate; never stop at the first prompt—and if it’s something that other people will read–always always do a final once over to humanise the copy.
(And my bonus tip: I keep all Female Startup Club queries in one insanely huge thread so it gets smarter and smarter everyday!)
Gold Tweets This Week 💗
1/ You are not in competition with anyone else:
Your biggest flex? Outgrowing your own limits, not competing with someone else’s highlight reel. Focus on your journey, your growth, and your glow-up.
2/ Food for thoughts, are you a part of the 10%?
That 90% of people are not interested in growing personally or professionally....but the ones that are, are just maxxing out life & work, and an absolute joy.
