Going Global? Read this first ๐Ÿช; when to entrepreneur ๐Ÿค”

Hi! It's your BFF in biz dropping into your inbox with your weekly source of inspiration & information on all things in the e-commerce and CPG space.

Hi! Iโ€™m Doone, your hype girl in business. This is your weekly source of inspiration & information on all things in the e-commerce and CPG space, read by like-minded Entrepreneurs - that happen to be women - like you. If you find value in this content please like & share above, or forward it to someone in your network. I love it when you do that! If someone forwarded you this email you can subscribe here:

Bulletin ๐Ÿ“Œ

We're almost there... ๐Ÿ‘€

They say the best companies are born out of personal pain points. Inspired by the incredible guests who have decided to share their stories on the podcast, this ever-changing world we find ourselves in, and my personal pain points I'm beyond excited to share the next stage of FSC with you, very soon. (And it's for everyone!)

But first... Here's how IG's fave creator uses Norby to โœจelevateโœจ her biz ๐Ÿ‘‡

Strap yourself in for a beautiful love story ๐Ÿงš Claire Xue first met Norby through Bulletin's beautiful link-in-bio page. It was love at first sight. Norby was different. She stood out from all the other bio links. Claire decided to send a demo request. As she was onboarding she realized... Norby is so much more than just a link-in-bio. She has so many sides to her. SMS, sign-up forms, money collection, email marketing, ALL in one place. She saw no other option but for it to become her go-to marketing platform for Moodelier. & the rest is history. Thanks to Norby, she now runs an ultra-successful SMS marketing strategy, uses the platform to create landing pages for new events & owns all of her customer data. The end ๐Ÿ’ญ

(check out Moodelier's Norby link right here, and sign up for your own free demo here - there are *5 DAYS* left to make use of our one-month-free offer)

๐Ÿ”‘ Insights From This Weekโ€™s Episodes on the Female Startup Club Podcast

Directly from the women building the worldโ€™s most exciting businesses in the e-commerce and CPG space.

1. When to entrepreneur ๐Ÿค”

EP416: How she sold 750,000+ journals to help women across America, with Silk + Sonder founder Meha Agrawal.

How on earth do you know when it's time to take the full leap into entrepreneurship? Meha was working at Goldman when she caught the bug. It started with an idea... Soon enough, she couldn't think about anything else. When you get that entrepreneurial bug, you know. But, how do you know when it's time to go full-time?

1/ Make sure you will make at least a dollar out of this business ๐Ÿค‘

2/ Make sure thereโ€™s product-market fit โœจ ask your customers "how would you feel if we were to discontinue?" (>40% positive = product-market fit)

3/ Decide on the type of business you want to build: lifestyle or exit? ๐Ÿ–๏ธ

Getting really clear on these three points really helped Meha decide when to go all-in with Silk + Sonder. And above all she wants us to remember that it's completely up to YOU to decide at what point you make that decision. It's when you get the entrepreneurial bug. It's when the financial risk is far lower than the emotional risk of not trying. It's when you know.

2. Going Global? Read this first ๐Ÿช

EP414: From her mum's living room to global success story, SoL Cups founder Rebecca Veksler shares her journey to entrepreneurship.

This story is such a special one. Rebecca went from chronic illness to creating one of the top 4 reusable cup companies globally. Here are her 5-steps to becoming Mrs. Worldwide:

  1. BOOTS ON THE GROUND ๐Ÿ‘ข You have to be there. Launching in another country is no different than launching in the country you're from, it works because you're present and you're available.

  2. MAKE YOUR OWN BED FIRST ๐Ÿ›Œ Donโ€™t expand globally if youโ€™re not profitable and highly successful in the country where you started: if you're not #1 at home, why would you be anywhere else?

  3. SHOW FACE ๐Ÿ˜Š That first interaction, first impression, is key.

  4. IMMERSE YOURSELF ๐ŸŒŽ Have the respect (& time) to dive into the country, the culture, and the dynamic of business relations.

  5. START OVER ๐Ÿ‘ผ Repeat your original process from the ground up in each country you enter, as if it was your first time.

& as a general rule of thumb, this golden tip has really stuck with me in the past week: donโ€™t be scared of what you donโ€™t know, dive head-first into it. As a founder you have to wear all the hats, and you canโ€™t sweep anything under the rug because you donโ€™t feel like doing it.
