“No One Screws More Prostitutes Than the Government”

Advertising & Activist Queen Cindy Gallop’s Blueprint on Building World-Changing Brands 👉

Being an entrepreneur isn’t for the faint-hearted, it’s a wild ride filled with ups, downs, and everything in between.

But those of us (you!) dreaming big and daring to make an impact know it’s totally worth it. I was lucky enough to chat with Cindy Gallop last week - fierce advocate for sex positivity & gender equality - and the founder behind MakeLoveNotPorn. She shared her blueprint for building world-changing brands:

1. Persistence ✊
When you’re building something world-changing, you’re bound to face resistance. Cindy’s mindset? “I’m gonna fucking well show you.” Tell her it can’t be done? She’s turning that doubt into pure motivation and inspiration. This isn’t just about pushing through; it’s about showing up every single day with the fire to prove them wrong.

2. Resilience đŸ’Ș
“When you have a truly world-changing product, you have to build a new world.” And building a new world means you’re going to face challenges, obstacles, and maybe even a few skeptics along the way. Resilience is about embracing those setbacks, using them as fuel, and staying committed. Believe that: “This is tough, but I’m tougher.”

3. Mastering Your Mind đŸ€Œ
A nugget that’s already totally transformed the way I think: limit what you allow yourself to stress about. As an entrepreneur, there are a million things vying for your attention and worry every day. But Cindy’s rule? Focus on just one—maybe two—things to stress about each day. Bite-sized chunks. If you can tackle and solve one thing today, that’s a win. The rest? It can wait until tomorrow.

And Always Remember: Interesting Things Attract Interesting Opportunities 👉
When you do interesting things, interesting things will happen to you. That means following your curiosity, embracing bold ideas, and daring to stand out. Whether it’s your product, your brand, or your voice—don’t be afraid to be different. Those risks? They’re magnets for opportunity.

So, here’s the bottom line: don’t just talk about changing the world—be it, do it. Embrace persistence, nurture resilience, and master the art of managing your mind. And when people say it can’t be done? Show them, unapologetically, that it can.

14% of Brands are already on the BFCM Train!

DYK that 14% of brands have kicked off their BFCM promotions already? Brands like Alo Yoga, Primary, and Olive & Piper are already seeing big returns
 Lets discuss:

What’s working for them?

  1. Early Access đŸƒâ€â™€ïž ICYMI our full breakdown, Alo Yoga’s early access sale on Oct 30 (a week earlier than last year) outperformed their later, high-discount sales

  2. Personalised Events đŸ’Œ Primary Clothing’s “Friends & Family” event boosted sales past $400K by keeping things exclusive and inviting

  3. Loyalty-Driven Discounts đŸ€ Olive & Piper doubled their October sales with a “Thank You Sale,” proving that loyalty-focused offers resonate

💡 Lesson Learned: Early, brand-aligned sales don’t just capture attention; they build loyalty and deliver high returns (before the mad BFCM rush)

Gold Tweets This Week 💗

1/ Life gets so, so much better:

This one hit me deep this week. Imagine telling your 20-year-old self that so much of what we labeled as “failure” wasn’t actually our fault—but rather a result of trying to thrive in systems and expectations that weren’t made with us in mind. Getting older is like finally lifting a veil: we start seeing that we’re not “too much,” “not enough,” or “falling short.” We’re just breaking free from scripts that don’t serve us. I love that.

2/ Take a hot sec to make sure you’re not making these mistakes for BFCM:
