Are you one of those people who loves a perfect plan?

You see, there’s a catch to that. Too much planning can lead you down a rabbit hole where you're not just planning but building a ⛓️prison for your ideas⛓️. You’re not putting anything out there because you’re too anxious to share anything before it’s perfect; as Ellen did when first building Cublicle to CEO.

What she quickly came to realize, is that you don’t know what your audience wants until you put it out there. Until you put your creation out there you’re pretty much flying blind *this is not advised*. The secret sauce? Live content, baby! It's the only way you can gather data, learn, and grow. So, here's the big reveal: you've got to let go of the idea that your first draft is your final masterpiece. Say hello to iteration, your business bestie.

If your first version doesn't make you cringe just a tiny bit a lot, you might have waited for a smidge too long to start. This is not your cue to start digging up ancient FSC episodes (please) but it's your reminder that growth comes from doing, learning, and doing it all over again. It tok me about 70 episodes to start finding my groove with the podcast. Iteration is like planting seeds and watching them sprout into amazing creations. It's the story of your progress, one wild chapter at a time. Your business glow-up.

So, today I want you to embrace the art of iteration. Love it, laugh with it, and never underestimate the power of those "oh, shit" moments. They're all part of the bigger story. The real power lies in doing and iterating, planning can wait.

Gettings things in motion with Notion 🚗

If you’re anything like me, you know exactly what it feels like to spend your day chasing scattered ideas. Part and parcel of entrepreneur life? It really doesn’t have to be. A couple of things have brought the zen back to my life: good vibes, clear boundaries, and thought-dumping in Notion.

Notion has come to be my digital BFF. Instead of endless email threads, overloaded Slack messages, DMs, WhatsApps, and…Where did I send that one thing again? The FSC team now has an organized side-kick where all my ideas can live in one place. As if my scattered brain had a Marie Kondo session and now starts each day afresh with all my ducks in a row. It’s the new cozy and capable homebase for everything we do.

Give Notion a whirl, and you'll honestly be wondering how you ever survived without it.

• Black women-focused VC fund Fearless Fund is being sued by conservative activist Edward Blum on the basis of the Civil Rights Act of 1966. He’s calling them out for ‘discrimination’ based on their $20K Fearless Strivers Grant Contest for making only black women eligible and states this is the first of many he plans to pursue *chills*.
