ONE WEEK till MAJIC 🪄
We recently asked you guys what you felt was “missing” from your business, and the answer was a resounding “mentorship”, taking the lead with 67% of the votes.
This is just another one of those times when Majic enters the chat. With Majic, we're making mentorship more accessible and achievable for everyone. Seeing our community blossom over the past year has taught me that there is SO much to be said for mentorship reciprocity. The first-class mentorship I’ve witnessed between members of the group has been unlike anything I’ve seen before.
Mentorship from those a little further on in the journey, those with a fresh perspective, those in a similar industry to you, but also those doing something completely different. You truly get to know each other, we truly cheer one another on.
Majic launches next week on Monday the 12th of December with 2 launch options; standard for $4.99 p/m and pro for $39.99 p/m. Join us during the launch to be a founding member of Majic and access our founding member rates (which you'll have forever!) ✨

🔑 Insights From This Week’s Episodes on the Female Startup Club Podcast
Directly from the women building the world’s most exciting businesses in the e-commerce and CPG space.
1. Becoming the world’s youngest, wealthiest BIPOC woman.
EP455: 27-year-old Latina Founder, Daniella Pierson, on first creating The Newsette (valued at $200M) and now building $100M mental fitness startup Wondermind with Selena Gomez and Mandy Teefey.
What do both of Daniella's success stories have in common? The brands are held up by a killer community. Here's the secret:
Persona 🎭 Daniella build two communities without ever being the face of the brand - instead, she built that persona from the ground up. Find something people are very passionate about, and hone in on that. Be what the people want.
Belonging 👐 If you have something that many people can get behind, that’s when you’ve built a community. It’s the comradery and sense that you’re in this club. Everyone belongs, you’re not alone, and you all share a belief system. Cultivating this sense of belonging will immediately feel like you know each other.
Patience 🌱 Truly give yourself a break. Don't beat yourself up because you’ve launched something and it’s not the biggest thing a year later. The best things take a long time to nurture and grow, and it makes it a better community because you’ve really had the time to form those long-lasting bonds.
2. Cultivating courageous creativity 🦁
Norby Presents EP457: Refinery29 Co-Founder Piera Gelardi on building her new bootstrapped startup, Wild Things World.
The power is in your hands to create the condition for creativity. You have to create the possibility for creativity because it's entirely different for everyone. Therefore, step number one is self-awareness. So often we try to push these ideas out of our brains without a warm-up and with lots of pressure, and beat ourselves up when it then doesn’t happen. Remember that you have to create those conditions for yourself. How can you be a good host to yourself and your own creativity?
Do a creativity warmup: never jump straight into the task
Take a one minute dancebreak before a brainstorm
Classic but never old: take a walk
A Piera fave: talk to yourself! (yes, out loud)
Set a fun challenge: time yourself, use the pomodoro technique
& above all... Have FUN with it
So often we focus on that moment of deficit when we don't have an idea. We all know the feeling. But instead, let's focus on what was happening when we did have a great idea, and how we can replicate that situation in the future. Work with your creativity and be a partner to it. Capture those ideas whenever they come to you.
