1. $2000 for 20% of the biz, any takers? 👀

EP349: Learning from By Rosie Jane’s Rosie Jane Johnston about her journey of building a 7-figure clean fragrance line.

Every legacy brand has an incredible why, and they have come back from a lot of struggles in the beginning. This is a clear pattern in the entrepreneurial world.

So when Rosie Jane reflects on being young and broke and asking to borrow $2000 from a friend for 20% of the company (!!!) (don’t worry btw - he said no 😮‍💨), it just goes to show the place many of us start at. There is no shame in starting with nothing. In fact, starting small is probably the greatest thing you can do.

You’re better off focusing your efforts on those all-important why’s. That’s where your courage and conviction lie.

“What am I doing this for? Why does this matter? Don’t just bring out a product for the hell of it. The one thing we’re actually missing is innovation.”

If you’re not doing something you truly believe in, something you truly love, you’re not going to stay the course. Whatever that why is for you, that will be your driving force. Your persistence and conviction. And now just let it take all the time it needs.

And if you love her episode, Rosie joins us in Hype Club on the 29th of June for an intimate Ask Me Anything session. Join us ❤️

This week, Becca MapesWinden solid shampoo size issue saga continues…

“I received the samples from the new mold and they were way too short for the container and looked really handmade in an unprofessional way. Super disappointing results after all this waiting 😑. Back to trouble-shooting it is!”

There’s nothing more annoying than when those long-anticipated samples come back and they’re not quite up to scratch. Patience is a virtue, espesh for entrepreneurs. 🤷‍♀️
